The Fairmount Water Works is one of Philadelphia's most iconic landmarks, situated along the scenic banks of the Schuylkill River just below the Philadelphia Museum of Art. A National Historic Civil and Mechanical Engineering Landmark, the Water Works tells the fascinating story of Philadelphia's water system, the growth of the city, and the health of our local watershed. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Accessible via SEPTA bus routes 38 and 32. Additional bus and rail lines stop a short walk away. The seasonal Philly PHLASH (Stop 11) also connects the Water Works to other Philadelphia attractions. Visit SEPTA.org or Google Transit to plan your route.
PARKING
Free two-hour parking is available along Water Works Drive.
